Nawaz worried with APML's very first bouncer: Musharraf
"It's only the beginning of play and we are batting. As the game progresses, we will hit sixes, but Nawaz Sharif is clearly worried with our very first bouncer," said Musharraf
Addressing a convention of the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML), the former general accused Nawaz of compromising on the Kashmir cause during his meeting with the then Indian Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
During the rally, hundreds of PML-N activists protested with placards and banners against Musharraf, and marred the political convention of the newly formed APML. While some of them also beat Musharraf's portraits with shoes, those who raised slogans were expelled from the gathering.
The APML founder reacted to the protests by saying that he would not stray an inch from his path, and would continue with his aims.
"Nawaz Sharif should not react emotionally, it's just the start of the game," Musharraf added.
Musharraf also accused Nawaz of being very close to the Taliban in an interview with a TV channel.
