"Both JD(S) and Congress are in the Opposition. We are together going to defeat BJP. Our first priority is to remove this bad government and we are going to unitedly do that. We are confident that we will defeat the confidence vote," said Kumaraswamy during a press conference in Chennai.
Earlier on the day, Kumaraswamy met the rebel MLAs and discussed the moves to take in Assembly during the trust vote. He alleged that the BJP is using the government machinery and speaker to gain the majority in the Assembly.
Karnataka Governor asked Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa to prove the majority of his government by Oct 12 after 14 BJP MLAs and 5 independent MLAs withdrew the support. Later Yeddyurappa announced that his government will prove majority by Monday, Oct 11.
