CWG: Sushil enters final, India hopes more medals

New Delhi, Oct 10: Indian wrestler Sushil Kumar entered the finals of the 66kg freestyle category wrestling event in Commonwealth Games on Sunday, Oct 10.

Sushil Kumar, the world champion wrestler and Olympic bronze medalist, entered the finals by defeating Famara Jarjou of Gambia in just 9 seconds. It is believed as the quickest time taken by a wrestler to beat his opponent in the Commonwealth Games 2010.

On Sunday, Oct 10 India started the day on a positive note by grabbing two golds and one bronze. Indian shooter Harpreet Singh won gold medal in 25m centrefire pistol individual event and archer Deepika Kumari won the gold in women's archery recurve event. Another archer Dola Banerjee won bronze in the same event.

India assured more medals in Commonwealth Games after Joginder Kumar and Anuj Kumar entered to the finals of two different wrestling events. Joginder Kumar entered the finals of 120kg freestyle men's wrestling event and Anuj in 84kg freestyle wrestling event.
