New Delhi, Oct 8: The shooting team of the host country continue to pile up more medals at the Delhi Commonwealth games as Vijay Kumar bagged gold and Gurpreet Singh grabbed the bronze medal in 25m rapid fire pistol event.
Vijay Kumar added 17th gold medal into India's account on Friday, Oct 8 after Gagan Narang picked up his third gold medal alongside Imran Khan in the 50m 3 position pairs event.
Vijay Kumar and Gurpreet Singh, who participated against each other in the 25m rapid fire pistol event on Oct 8 to win gold and bronze respectively, claimed the precious yellow medal in the men's 25m rapid fire pistol pairs event on Thursday, Oct 7.
India now has a total of 38 medals (17 gold, 11 silver and 10 bronze) and is ranked second after Australia, which has bagged 74 medals.
