K'taka govt crisis: 14 rebel MLAs land in Mumbai

Bangalore, Oct 7: The crisis of Bharathiya Janatha Party (BJP) government in Karnataka worsened after 14 of the 19 rebel MLAs landed in Mumbai on Wednesday, Oct 6 night.

The rebel MLAs landed at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport on Wednesday night. Media reported that MLAs may visit Shirdi on Thursday Oct 7.

Mean while BJP had sent senior leader Venkaiah Naidu to Bangalore to solve the issue by making peace with the rebel MLAs. Venkaiah Naidu, BJP Rajya Sabha MP from Karnataka, told that party president Nitin Gadkari suggested him to leave for Bangalore to solve the crisis faced by first BJP government in south India.

On Wednesday, Oct 6 Karnataka Governor asked Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa to prove the majority of the government by 5 pm on Oct 12.
