Jammu to be shut on Oct 8 over Omar's remark?

Jammu, Oct 7: Following Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah's provocative statement in the state assembly meeting on Oct 6, National Panther Party (NPP) called Jammu strike on Oct 8.

"We have made an appeal to all to observe a joint bandh tomorrow (Oct 8) in Jammu against anti-national, anti-India and communally provocative statement of Omar Abdullah," JKNPP leader on Oct 7.

The row sparked after the provocating statement of Omar Abdullah when it questioning Kashmir being the integral part of India.

After the chaos in the assembly meeting, BJP leaders demanded Abdullah's resignation for the remark and the JKNPP leaders demanded for the withdrawals of his "provocative" remark.
