Commonwealth Games Federation chief, Michael Fennel, who earlier claimed that athletes' village was "filthy," now described the village as the best, he has ever seen.
"The atmosphere in Games Village is extremely positive. Representatives are relishing the facilities there, especially the training and practice facilities," informed Fennell.
His statement also added, "the best facilities I have seen anywhere at any Games I have been to so far."
There were complaints about unhygienic living conditions and water logging in the basements of apartment blocks.
