Prince Charles discusses climate change with industrialists in Delhi

New Delhi, Oct.4 (ANI): The visiting Prince of Wales, Prince Charles met various Indian industrialists here on Monday and discussed climate change with the corporate heads during a Business and Leadership Symposium.

During his meet with the senior Indian business leaders, Prince Charles discussed ways to facilitate bilateral investment in low carbon areas between the UK and India.

FICCI President and Bharti Enterprises Vice President Rajan Bharti Mittal chaired a symposium on corporate leadership on climate change in the presence of the Prince of Wales, who is here in connection with the Commonwealth Games.

The participants discussed what role business leadership can play in developing a framework for promoting low carbon goods and services trade, according to a statement issued by the British High Commission.

The symposium was based on recent discussions held by the UK-India Business Leaders Climate Group (UKIBLCG).

On Sunday, President Pratibha Devisingh Patil and Prince Charles jointly inaugurated the XIX Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the national capital.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall began their four-day official visit on Saturday.

Prince Charles is to attend a number of events related to climate change. He is also scheduled to visit Patiala and Jodhpur. (ANI)
