Rahul, most favourite face for CWG 2010: Survey

New delhi, Oct 3: The latest survey conducted by the philanthropic arm of the industry lobby founded that the Congress General Secretary, Rahul Gandhi is the most favourite face for CWG 2010.

Under the categories of actors, politicians, sportspersons and other celebrities, the survey was conducted in the cities of Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Dehradun, Jaipur, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Kolkata and Bhubaneshwar.

The survey was conducted among 10,000 students, ahead of the Oct 03-14 Commonwealth Games.

72 percent of the respondents said Rahul Gandhi is the most honest, straightforward and trustworthy leader.

Where as cricketer Sachin Tendulkar came next with 62 percent, actor Aamir Khan with 56 percent and music composer-director AR Rahman with 42 percent on the list.

Following Aamir Khan, among actors, is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with 18 percent, Shah Rukh Khan with 12 percent and Ranbir Kapoor with 6 percent.

Among sportspersons, badminton player Saina Nehwal, chess champion Viswanathan Anand and Olympics shooting Abhinav Bindra were also selected.

Where as in the list of politicians, Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Sachin Pilot came right after Gandhi, followed by Minister of State for Commerce Jyotiraditya Scindia and Minister of State for Petroleum Jitin Prasada.

Bangalore was chosen as the best potential city to organize the 2010 Games, followed by Ahmedabad with 70 percent, Bhubaneshwar with 55 percent and Chandigarh with 33 percent.
