Islamabad, Oct 1 (ANI): Following the announcement of Ayodhya verdict by the Allahabad High Court, Pakistan Minister for Religious Affairs Hamid Saeed Kazmi has called it a political verdict, which is "totally in favour of the Hindu community."

Speaking to Pakistan Television, Kazmi said that Muslims in India had been deprived of their right, due to the one-sided decision on the mosque issue, The News reported.

"The court cited Babri Mosque as a birth place of Ram and recommended a little piece of place for Muslims like a donation," he added.

He noted that the decision to equally distribute the mosque land among the Hindus and the Muslims was quite complicated, and would create problems for the faithful in offering prayers.

Calling upon the Indian Muslims to make more efforts for their rights, Kazmi asked them to file an appeal against this decision in the Supreme Court.

"In Pakistan we have always raised voice against any injustice with the minority communities while in India the state is not showing solidarity with the Muslims," he said, urging people from all walks of life to raise their voice against the unjust decision.

According to the court's verdict, the land has been divided between the Hindus and the Muslims (one-third for the Waqf Board, a third for Ram Lalla Virajman, and a third for the Nirmohi Akhara). The judgement says that the disputed site is the birthplace of Lord Ram and that the portion below the central dome under which idols are placed be allotted to Hindus. (ANI)
