By Samyuktha
New Delhi, Sep 27: Amid the continuing criticism against the Commonwealth Games 2010, Australia"s lawn bowls arrived in Delhi on Monday, Sep 27 morning with a clear mind as it did not intend to form opinions based on the scathing remarks made ahead of the event.

“Who"d have thought lawn bowls would lead Australia into battle?" said one of the team members after landing in the Indian national capital in the wee hours of Sep 27.

The team members said that although they were aware of the concerns being raised against the Delhi Games, they was not going to form an opinion until they had a look at the facilities themselves.

“We"ve heard reports but we"d like to see for ourselves.

We"re going in without expectations and what we see is what we get," said another player.

Australia's netball and gymnastics teams are also expected to land in Delhi later on Sep 27.

Several Australian athletes, such as cyclist Travis Meyer, table tennis player Stephanie Sang and discus world champion Dani Samuels, have dropped out of the Delhi Games due to health and security concerns, following the comments made by international delegates who visited India to take a look at the facilities ahead of the Oct 3 to Oct 14sporting event.
