London, Sep 27: After legendary golfer Tiger Woods, and ace English striker Wayne Rooney, celebrity footballer David Beckham is the latest to enter into the hall of shame of sports star sex scandals.
In Touch magazine has published an account of a prostitute, identified as Irma Nici, who claims to have had an affair with the football star. She even claimed that she has telephone records and a diary detailing the alleged liaison.
The report in the American magazine owned by German media magnate Heinz Bauer has left Beckham fuming.
According to Dailymail.co.uk, the footballer is planning on writing a letter to 70-year-old Bauer seeking how Miss Nici"s unfounded claims or "tissue of lies" was published by the magazine without any real evidence.
Quoting sources the media report stated that the superstar is 'more determined than ever" to receive an answer as to why the story came to be published considering In Touch was told 'repeatedly" before publication that it was false.
The 35-year-old sports star's legal team contends that Miss Nici did not produce any evidence to support her claims before the magazine went to print.
