Advocate, Ajay K Agrawal appealed in the Supreme Court to defer the games' schedule by atleast one month with an aim to save the country "from national shame."

In his applications, Agarwal mentioned that during the delayed time, games' organisation would get scope to clear the mess, which has been exposed before the world.

He also added that during that time, government would get time to look at the flood affected people and would spend more money to flood relief.
