Nano to replace i10 as 2nd best selling car by '11

New Delhi, Sep 22: A recent survey by market research firm JD Power showed that Tata motors Nano would replace Hyundai's i10 by 2011.

"Nano is projected to hold the number two spot in 2011 after Tata ramps up production," stated the report.

It also added, "By 2017, we think the top three models will be the Alto, Nano and Maruti Suzuki Wagon R."

At present, Alto is the highest selling car brand in the country, selling on an average of 25,000 units every month.

As per the report, the combined sales of mini and sub-compact vehicles would be 9,97,000 units in 2010, increasing to 3.14 million units by 2017.
