K'taka Cabin re-shuffle: BSY fires 3 ministers

Bangalore, Sep 22: In the first major reshuffle of the Karnataka BJP state cabinet BS Yeddyurappa inducted six ministers, including Shobha Karandlaje and dropped three ministers from the cabinet.

A Narayanaswamy, C C Patil, Shobha Karandlaje, S A Ramadas, C H Vijayashankar and V Somanna were the new inducted six ministers in the cabinet.

The ministers who have been dropped are Shivana Gouda Naik (Adult Education), Aravinda Limbaval (Higher Education) and Shekar (Sports).

According to the party sources, these ministers were dropped for poor handling of their ministries.

Shobha Karandlaje, a confidant of Yeddyurppa returned to the cabinet eleven months after she was dropped following pressure from G Janardhana Reddy and G Karunakara Reddy.

However, Shobha Harandlaje is the lone woman in the 34-member ministry.
