Mumbai, Sep 21: The email, which was sent to some media organizations after the attack on foreign tourists in New Delhi, has been sent from Mumbai, police informed on Tuesday, Sep 21.

With a fake identity card, mail sender sent the mail using a Tata phone connection.

According the police sources, the Indian Mujahideen allegedly sent an email to various media houses and threatened to unleash violence during the Commonwealth Games soon after Sunday's (Sep 19) firing incident at the Jama Masjid.

The email threatened, "We are warning you. If you have the guts, then organise the Commonwealth Games."

It continued, "We know that preparations are on full swing. Be prepared. We are also making preparations. The participants in the games will be responsible for the outcome."
