BJP-JD(U) to finalise Bihar seat-sharing formula

Patna, Sep 21: Despite war of words and arguments that indicated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Janata Dal (United) alliance in Bihar had hit turbulance, the NDA allies are set to finalise a seat sharing formula ahead of the assembly polls.

“Both the parties are busy with homework for the elections and the formal meeting is likely to take place in a day or two to finalise the seat-sharing in the wake of delimitation of the constituencies," Bihar Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar said, asseting that there was no problems between the parties.

Senior BJP leader and deputy Chief Minister SK Modi also confirmed this.

“We will hold the formal meeting with the JD(U) leaders in a day or two on the issue," he said, adding that the party hopes to declare the names of its candidates by Sep 27, when filing of nominations will begin for the first phase poll in Bihar.
