UP floods kill 10; Bareilly, Moradabad under water
Seven trains were cancelled in the region after severe floods hit Bareilly and Moradabad due to incessant rains and release of water in Ramganga and Kosi rivers from Kalagarh, Naraura, Behgul, Nand Sagar and Dhaura dams.
Ramganga continues to swell 2 cm per hour, said the Central Water Commission.
While Devaha river also received four lakh cusec, Ganga was flowing one metre above danger mark in Badaun district after receiving five lakh cusec water from the Naraura dam.
Areas located alongside the Ganga including villages in Sahaswan, Junawai, Kachla and Dataganj will be evacuated.
