The new version Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) will use the computer hardware to accelerate performance. Microsoft demonstrated this by comparing IE9 with it's rival Google"s web browser Google Chrome. During the test, running the same graphics test, IE9 was proved five times faster than Chrome.
The IE9 effectively allows web sites to look far more like applications than web sites. It also uses a single box for web addresses, searching and users" web history.
One of the exciting feature in IE9 is it allows sites to be pinned to the taskbar. When users linger the mouse over the pinned site, the icon can provide direct integration with social networking or system controls such as music playing.
Microsoft claimed that the IE9's speed and security will change users" perception of the web. It will make using the internet a more immersive experience, as well as providing a faster service.
