Hisar, Sep 15: All examinations that were supposed to start on Thursday, Sep 16, have been postponed to Sep 22 due to "unavoidable circumstances" in Haryana, stated Haryana's Board of School Education.

Despite of a call to stop violence from their own leaders, Jat villagers remain aggressive and torched a SBI bank in the city and blocked the national highway linking Delhi to Hisar for several hours on Sep 15.

However, curfew, which was imposed in Hisar on Sep 14, was lifted by the end of the same day.

However, receiving assurance from the Jat leaders, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda decided to lift the curfew from the region.

"Our agitation will be peaceful and no road will be blocked by our workers. Some anti-social elements took advantage of protest and damaged the government and private property. We shall help the police to identify the miscreants," said Samiti President, Yashpal Malik.
