WB: Maoists kill five CPI(M) supporters

Jhargram, Sep 13: A massive man hunt has been launched for Maoists along the West Bengal-Orissa border after the rebels stormed Nachupatina village located in the region in West Midnapore district and shot dead five Communist Party of India (Marxist) supporters on Sunday, Sep 12 night.

Police said that a large group of Maoists swooped down on the village later Sep 12 night. They exploded bombs and fired in the air terrorising the villagers.

While one group of the rebels broke into the house of CPI(M) supporter Amrit Aagyuan, another group went to the house of Rohin Aagyun, Samaresh Aagyuan, Swapan Aagyuan and Prasanta Aagyuan, all belonging to one family.

The Left Wing extremists forcibly took them outside and shot them dead before leaving behind some posters, the police said.
