Nevada held interfaith panel discussion on "God" on September 11

Nevada (US), Sep 13 (ANI): How the different religions define and view "God"?

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) in Reno (Nevada, USA) organized interfaith panel discussion on "God" on September 11 to discuss views of various faith traditions about God.

Coordinated by Rajan Zed, Director Interfaith Relations of Nevada Clergy Association; speakers included Christian minister Dr. Bruce L. Taylor, religion professor Dr. William Tell Gifford, Muslim associate imam Dr. Sherif A. Elfass, Jewish rabbi Elizabeth Beyer, Buddhist priest Phil Bryan, atheist thinker Chris Matthews; and Zed himself, who is a Hindu leader.

Discussion revolved around images of God, experiencing God, God and values, God in scriptures, myth, Love of God, way to God, gods, creator and destroyer, human search for the eternal truth, etc., and even rejecting and criticizing God, according to Rajan Zed. A participant described it as "very unifying".astest growing college in northern Nevada, TMCC serves over 13, 000 students offering over 50 degree and certificate programs at its over 40 sites, and its "vision" is: "creates the future by changing lives".
