The incident has caused scare in Firdous' native village.
"At present villagers are completely terrorized. They is harassment among the villagers as if they (ultras) are killing their own accomplices what can they do to others (villagers)," said Farid Ahmed, the village head.
Police alleged Waseem Ahmed to have carried out the killing.
"There is a clear reason they (militants) fight for money, they commit extortions of thousands of rupees from working class. Each and every member of the nearby villages is their victim. Second reason is the women. The immediate reason for this is that Ahmed alias Waseem suspected his wife Shehnaz to be having illicit relations with him (Firdous)," said Senior Superintendent of Police, Doda, Prabhat Singh.
He further shared that Waseem killed his first wife in a very inhuman manner. He (Ahmed) has attempted five murders before this. Waseem suspected that Firdous was having relations with his wife.
