BJP set to form Jharkhand govt under Arjun Munda

Ranchi, Sep 8: The President's rule in Jharkhand is likely to be revoked soon as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday, Sep 7 staked claim to form a government in the state.

BJP has allied with Jharkhand Mukhi Morcha (JMM) and the All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) to stake claim to form the government in the state under the leadership of former Chief Minister, Arjun Munda.

Raj Bhavan sources have revealed that the governor M O H Farook has recieved a list of 45 MLAs ready to give unconditional support to the new government.

Arjun Munda met the Governor along with leaders of the JMM, AJSU, Janata Dal-United (JD-U) and two independents to hand over a letter claiming support of the 45 legislators in a house of 81.

Sources have also said that Mr Farook has sent a report to the Union government asking for the revocation of President's rule.
