Gumla (Jharkhand), Sep.6 (ANI): In yet another instance of Maoists' atrocities on the innocent and helpless people, a group of Maoists has killed two villagers in Jharkhand's Gumla district.

The incident occurred on Sunday night, when the Maoists arrived at the house of Bhudhdev Oraon and Anil Oraon. Both of them were dragged out of their house and shot dead.

According to the police, the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI), a Maoist group, was behind the incident involving a 'property dispute'.

"In the morning we received the information about the bodies, so we reached the spot. On reaching at the spot, we got to know that the PLFI Maoist group's area commander Ravi Pahan has killed two people over some property dispute," said B D Ram, a police official and added: "The killed persons are Bhudhdev Oraon and Anil Oraon"

Relatives of Bhudhdev Oraon and Anil Oraon, however, said that there was no property dispute.

"Six of them came. One was at the gate and other five went inside the house. They caught hold of Bhudhdev Oraon and Anil Oraon and dragged them out of their house and shot them dead. There was no fight or land dispute," said Kurachi Oraon, a relative of the deceased. (ANI)
