Hyderabad, Sep 4: Andhra Pradesh yet again erupted in protests as Telangana students under the banner of Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee (OUJAC) boycotted classes and took to streets demanding postponement of the State Public Service Commission preliminary examination.

The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) selection tests is scheduled to be held on Sunday, Sep 5.

The students want the exams postponed until 42 percent of the jobs at stake are reserved for the Telangana region.

While a group of students took their demands to the State Home Minister P Sabita Indra Reddy, others indulged in several ways of protests.

Four students of the Osmania University have launched a fast for indefinite period while in the university campus a group of students climbed the Arts College building and threatened to jump.

Despite these protests along with a Telangana shutdown being called by some students groups, the Andhra Pradesh government seems certain that the APPSC selection tests will be held on Sunday, Sep 5.
