Christchurch, Sep 4: A huge region in New Zealand was shaken on Friday, Sep 3, when a massive earthquake with 7.4 magnitude hit Christchurch, the largest city in South Island of the country.
However, no major casualty report came yet.
A major area is facing power outages, damage and huge aftershocks after the earthquake.
There were, however, no immediate tsunami warnings, but the earthquake caused widespread damage and cut power.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center informed, "No destructive widespread tsunami threat exists based on historical earthquake and tsunami data."
