Market closes in green, Nifty reaches above 5450
At 4.05 hrs, BSE Sensex was 18205.87 up 234.75 points and NSE Nifty was 5471.85 up 69.45 points.
The top gainers were Reliance Comm up 5.09 percent, Hindalco up 4.72 percent, Sterlite Ind up 3.64 percent and Unitech up 3.42 percent.

In the metal space, Sterlite Industries, Tata Steel, Jindal Steel and Hindalco went up 1.5-3 percent. DLF and Unitech from realty segment gained 1.3-1.8 percent.
TCS, Infosys and Wipro from technology pack rose 0.6-1.8 percent. In telecom space, Reliance Communications shot up 3.5 percent; Bharti Airtel rose 2.7 percent and Idea Cellular went up 0.56 percent.

Trade continues in green; Tata Steel up
At 12:26 hrs, the Sensex was trading at 18092.88, up 121.76 points and the Nifty was at 5437.15, up 34.75 points.
Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, TCS, Infosys and Tata Steel were leading shares.
Reliance Communications was trading at Rs 160.95, up 3.14 percent, Bharti Airtel was at Rs 336.10, up 2.67 percent; Unitech was at Rs 79.40, up 2.39 percent; Tata Steel was at Rs 534.75, up 2.31 percent; ICICI Bank was at Rs 997.25, up 2 percent and DLF was at Rs 306.40, up 1.54 percent.

Market opens in green; HDFC up
The Nifty started the day on a positive note following gains in Asian markets. At 9:26 hrs, the Sensex was trading at 18090.17, up 119.05 points and the Nifty was at 5434.05, 31.65 up points.
Among the frontliners, Maruti, M&M, Sterlite Industries, JSPL, Tata Steel, HCL Tech, BPCL, IDFC, DLF, HDFC, Reliance Communications and Bharti Airtel were gainers in early trade.
However, Hero Honda, HUL, Sun Pharma, Reliance Power and Reliance Capital were witnessing selling pressure.
