Sohrabuddin Sheikh
Ahmedabad, Aug 28: The former CID supervising officer Geetha Johri, who is now being questioned by the CBI in connection with the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case, has accused the investigative agency of pressurizing her to implicate political leaders.

In a curative petition filed with the Supreme Court, Johri, who headed the state CID team that investigated into the 2005 fake encounter case back then, said that the CBI was pressurizing her to implicate political leaders such as former Gujarat Home Minister, Amit Shah, who has already arrested.

She has also accused the CBI of asking her to depose in a particular manner in the case and that her personal assistant was threatened by CBI.

In addition, Johri has sought the removal of Balwinder Singh, CBI's Special Director who is supervising the investigation into the case.

Demanding that Singh had to be made a witness in the case, Johri, in her petition, said that she herself had interrogated him in connection with the case when he was the Police Commissioner of Hyderabad in 2007.

The senior Gujarat- cadre IPS officer has also challenged the apex court's decision not to expunge adverse remarks made against her in connection with the case.
