Economic blockade hits life in Manipur
As per reports, the price of the petrol for per litre raised to Rs 90 while diesel has gone up to Rs 60. The rates had been hiked from earlier rates of Rs 60 and 45 due to economic blockade on the highways. It is reported that hike will continue till Sep 21.
Manipur government stopped distribution of petrol and diesel from Aug 11 when fuels were highly depleted to the disturbances from the Khatkati in Assam through the NH-39 due to blockade.

Meanwhile, a latest report from police stated that as many as 178 goods trucks arrived Mao gate heading to Imphal with security escorts.
The United Committee Manipur had warned the transporters association to reduce the fare rate and resume the normal passenger services.
