Yamuna crosses danger mark, no flood alert
A senior official reported that the river has already crossed the danger mark of 204 meters following heavy rains in the capital and was flowing 11 cm above the danger mark. With the rains still continuing water levels are expected to rise further.
The authorities told that even if rising water levels breach the Yamuna's banks, only those living along the river would have to be evacuated. Some of the people living along the banks have been evacuated.
