Satyam scam: Raju appears before a local court
Ramalinga Raju, the founder and the former managing director of Satyam Computers, appeared before the court along with his doctor. Raju had been avoiding appearance in the court since Sept 2009 citing health reasons.
On Wednesday, Aug 18, the Andra Pradesh High Court granted bail to Raju on the condition that he should stay in the hospital.
Raju, the person behind the biggest corporate fraud in India, was arrested in Jan 2009 and is currently undergoing treatment for liver infection. The court ordered him to appear before the trial court once he's discharged.
