Govt employees go on indefinite strike in Bihar

Patna, Aug 23: The Bihar State Non-Gazetted Employees Federation (BSNGEF) went on an indefinite strike on Monday, Aug 23 demanding implementation of the sixth pay commission in "letter and spirit".

More than two lakh employees went for strike in the state, while state secretariat did not join them but urged the state government to accept the demands within a fortnight.

As of now the state government has assured to fulfill the demands of the employees at the earliest.
