New Delhi, Aug 19: Now the government has stepped in to take control of the Commonwealth Games Organizing Committee (CWG OC) mess.
Ten senior bureaucrats have been handpicked by the Prime Minister Office (PMO) to take charge of the games, on Thursday, Aug 19 afternoon.
According to the sources all Commonwealth Games Organizing Committee member will have to report to the appointed bureaucrats.
Earlier on Thursday, Aug 19 morning, the Congress President Sonia Gandhi had promised that those involved in games corruption will not be spared.
"The Commonwealth Games is a matter of national pride, and the event is not related to any political party or individual. Efforts should be made to hold them successfully," she said.
