Teen makes £1 million by selling ads on web
Christian Owens, inspired by Apple CEO Steve Jobs, started his first website, Mac Box Bundle, in 2008 when he was just 14 years old. His website offered a combination of Mac software, costing between $100 to $400 for a one time download.
After the success of Mac Box Bundle, he started an online advertising platform, Branchr, which helps websites to sell advertisements to advertisers. Branchr has eight employees in United States and United Kingdom.
Branchr made £500,000 in its first year and now it has clients like betting website William Hill and social networking platform MySpace.
"Mac Box Bundle was already becoming a success but I really wanted to push myself and do something different, so I came up with the idea of Branchr. I think everyone has business sense in them, they just need to gain experience and be determined to make it," said Owens to The Daily Mail.
