Srinagar, Aug 15 (ANI): A shoe was thrown at Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during the Independence Day function here on Sunday.
It has been reported that the shoe that missed Abdullah was allegedly thrown by an Assistant Sub-Inspector.
The shoe came flying from behind the stands just as Abdullah was about to unfurl the flag.
The Assistant Sub-Inspector then raised black flags shouted slogans against the State Government following which he was arrested by the security officials.
"Throw shoes, not stones," Television channels quoted Abdullah as saying. (ANI)
