New Delhi, Aug 10: US Defence secretary, Michele Flournoy said on her visit to India on Aug 10 that US was observing that how Pakistan is using the arms, supplied by US, to fight against terrorism.
"US Administration is mindful of these concerns as we take steps to support the equipping of Pakistan for the current counter insurgency and counter terrorism purposes," said Flournoy.
"There is a clear emphasis on supporting their (Pakistan's) efforts on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border," she added.
Flournoy rejected to comment on the ISI-terror link, which was published on WikiLeaks' website but informed that US had "a strong interest in fighting terrorism in all its forms."
She also added, "we see a strong connection between the LeT and al-Qeada. This is a syndicate we are committed to combating in its entirety."
India, however, expressed its concern over US' weapon supply to Pakistan as it may be misused to enhance conventional war fighting capabilities, creating an imbalance in the South Asian region.
