New Delhi, Aug 10: On the day when the deadline set to clear the debris from Commonwealth Games' construction and renovation projects ends, the Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has turned to the age old defence mechanism of blame game.
"Debris has been removed to a very large extent. There is debris here and there..When you build a road or a house or a building, debris is bound to be there," she told media-personnel when questioned on the deadline on Tuesday, Aug 10.
She further delivered yet another promise that all construction waste will be cleared from the project sites "soon".
In a bid to shift blame on the delay in clearance of debris, the CM said there are "agencies which are not under the Delhi government and which are undertaking various construction activities."
Besides this, she also blamed the media for failing to give the public the "real picture" of Delhi CWG preparations.
"Please give a real picture (of the preparations)," she said.
She said all the key projects, undertaken by the city government, will be completed on time.
Aug 10 was set as deadline for removing all construction waste across the city and CM Dikshit had in Jul 2010 ordered all civic agencies to finish the work within the time given.
