Top Andhra Maoist held in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Aug 9: After the arrest of a top Maoist Rajesh alias Udayji, who was carrying a bounty of Rs 5 lakh, now the Ranchi police has arrested one more top Maoist leader on Monday, Aug 9.

Identified as Narasimha Reddy alias Gangana alias Rahulji, is facing more than 25 criminal cases in Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand and Bihar, was arrested from Kudra village of Bokaro district, around 135 km from Ranchi.

Police sources said, Reddy is from Andhra Pradesh carrying a bounty of Rs 10 lakh, was popularly known as Rahulji in CPI-Maoist's Bihar and Jharkhand units.

Reddy is member of Andhra Pradesh state committee of banned group, Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist).

According to the police, Reddy's wife Anuradha is the area commander of CPI-Maoist in the Chattisgarh and where as Reddy was in Bokaro to expand the CPI-Maoist base.
