Man throws shoe at Pakistani President Zardari
London, Aug 8: After former US President George Bush, Pakistan's President Asif Ali Zardari became the latest victim of a shoe attack.
A suspected Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) worker hurled shoes at Zardari while he was addressing a gathering of PPP workers in Birmingham on Saturday, Aug 7.
However, the shoes failed to reach the stage.
The shoe-thrower, who has not been identified so far, was arrested and taken away by security personnel.
Meanwhile, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira has denied the occurrence of the shoe-hurling incident.
He added that even if the incident had occurred, it was still unethical to project the wrong deed of a person.
Many in Pakistan have criticised Zardari over his trip to United Kingdom given that it comes after Cameron's remarked that Pakistan was exporting terrorism while his trip to India.
