Maoists blow up school building in Palamau
Ranchi, Aug 8: Maoist in Jharkhand triggered blasts in a school building at Kanda village in Palamau district on Saturday, Aug 7.
According to the sources, a group of armed Maoists blew up the school building just before their 24-hour shutdown began in the states of Jharkhand, Bihar and Chhatisgarh.
The Maoists stuffed explosives in the building around 11.30 pm.
Meanwhile, security has been beefed up following the shutdown called by the Maoist in three states- Jharkhand, Bihar and Chhatisgarh to protest the arrest of one of their top leader, Rajesh alias Uday.
Rajesh carried a reward of Rs 5 lakh on his head and was wanted in Jharkhand and Chhatisgarh in connection with Naxal violence was arrested by the police on Wednesday, Aug 4.
