Berlin, Aug. 8 (ANI): Despite the Obama administration's demands to not publish more secret war files, WikiLeaks, the online whistle blower, has said that it will continue to publish undisclosed files from around the world.

In what is being described as one of the biggest leaks in US military history, WikiLeaks released over 90,000 secret US documents, which includes details of Afghan civilian deaths, covert operations against the Taliban and proof that Pakistan is aiding the Taliban to organize networks of militant groups that fight against American soldiers in Afghanistan.

"I can assure you that we will keep publishing documents - that's what we do," a WikiLeaks spokesman, who called himself Daniel Schmitt, said.

Schmitt, who said he did not want to disclose his real name due to security reasons, clarified that the publications of classified documents about the Afghanistan war directly contributed to the public's understanding of the conflict.

"Knowledge about ongoing issues like the Afghan war is only way to help create something like safety," The Daily Times quoted Schmitt, as saying.

He added that public scrutiny would force governments across the globe to develop better strategies. (ANI)
