Mumbai, Aug 7: It is all out in the open now - former minister of state for external affairs, Shashi Tharoor has acknowledged his long-time friend and socialite Sunanda Pushkar as his finacee.
Tharoor, who arrived in Mumbai to deliver the 16th Lalit Doshi Memorial lecture, was accompanied by Sunanda Pushkar.
While the organisers introduced Pushkar as Tharoor's fiance, in his vote of thanks, former Maharashtra Chief Secretary Prem Kumar wished Tharoor and Pushkar well for their future.
If this was not confirmation enough of the raging speculations over impending Tharoor-Pushkar marriage, the former UN diplomat himself made an indicative statement.
"They asked me if I was going to bring my visual aid. So I have brought one," he said looking in the direction of Pushkar.
Pushkar was seated in the front row alongside industrialists Adi Godrej and Keshub Mahindra.
Recently, Tharoor and Pushkar were spotted together at a Shani shrine in Shirdi, Maharashtra, where they performed a puja. They also visited the famous Saibaba temple while in the temple town.
This sparked off a media frenzy over what seemed like a soon approaching marriage.
