Barcelona, Aug 5: Brazilian striker Dani Alves announced that he will fulfill the contract with his club Barcelona and the future will be different.
Sources close to him revealed that the club's financial problems prevented him from agreeing a new contract. Media report that Alves that has refused to dismiss the possibility of leaving Barcelona in the future.
The Brazil World Cup 2010 utility man, Alves, joined Barcelona in 2008 and and his current deal expires in 2012. The club has to sign new agreement to prevent him leaving the club.
"In our life we cannot close any doors. I am very happy at Barcelona and I intend to fulfill my contract," said Dani Alves.
"Unless the club decides, I am here to fulfill my contract. I never say never to anyone and I am greatly flattered that other clubs are interested in my work, but for now I am very happy at Barca, I have a contract in place and intend to comply unless the club decides," he said.
"I have a contract still in force and I've always said, I never worried about a renewal. If the club see appropriate, I will keep working well," he added.
