Hyderabad, Aug 4: A special police team has been constituted to probe into the murder of a woman, whose body was found stuffed in a suitcase near a bus stand at Mehadipatnam area in Hyderabad.
Passengers at the bus stand, who found that foul smell was emanating from a suitcase nearby, contacted the police on Tuesday, Aug 3.
Acting on the inputs, Humayunnagar police visited the spot and opened the suitcase to find a decomposing body of a young woman, informed Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP)- Asifnagar Division- Chandrasekhar.
The police suspect that the victim was smothered to death as there were no injury marks found on her body.
Eyewitnesses said that they saw three youngsters travelling in a four-wheeler dump the suitcase near the bus stand.
"The youths were in hurry to leave the spot after taking out the suitcase from cars dickey," one of the passengers at the bus stand is quoted as saying.
Speaking on the case after visiting the spot where the body was found, the ACP said, "We have formed a special team to probe the case."
