Court dismisses CBI plea for Amit Shah's custody
Ahmedabad, Aug 4: The special court has rejected CBI plea over 5-day custody of former Gujarat Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday, Aug 4. Shah will stay in Judicial custody.
The hearing on Amit Shah's bail plea will be held on Wednesday, Aug 11.
The CBI had sought Shah's remand after it failed to extract in its three-day questioning of him in the Sabarmati Central Jail.
CBI claimed that important documents have to be recovered from Shah.
Shah had been arrested over the fake encounter case of Sohrabuddin Sheikh, his wife, Kauser Bi in 2005.
He is also accused of murder the key witness of Sohrabuddin's case, Tulsi Prajapati in 2006.
Shah's troubles only seem to be increasing as Parajapati's mother has claimed that her son had complained of harassment by Shah and IPS officer Vanzara.
