Passenger plane crashes in Siberia; 11 killed
Moscow, Aug 3: At least 11 people were killed in a passenger plane crash early on Tuesday, Aug 3 near a northern Siberia town.
Russia"s Emergencies Ministry has informed that the twin-engine passenger plane was carrying 15 onboard. While initial reports said all onboard the Antonov-24 turboprop were killed, news agency reports later confirmed that 11 were dead.
The plane crashed when it was approaching the airport of the town of Igarka. There were four crew members and 11 passengers aboard the plane, said ministry spokeswoman, Irinia Andryanova.

have
a
capacity
of
about
45
people.
According
to
Russian
media
reports,
the
plane
belonged
to
a
small
regional
airline,
Katekavia.
