Berlin, Jul 31: Chancellor Angela Merkel is expected to interrupt her holiday to attend the memorial service for the twenty people killed in the Love Parade techno music festival stampede.
The memorial will be held on Saturday, Jul 31 in the city of Duisburg, where the tragic incident took place last week.
While 20 people were killed in the stampede, over 500 were injured.
The stampede broke out in a tunnel leading to the venue of the world's largest techno music festival on Saturday, Jul 24.
It is reported that the stampede was triggered off due to a panic. The reason behind this is still uncertain. However, several allegations of negligence have been slapped against the organisers of the music festival and the city authorities.
