India tests anti-ballistic missile successfully
Bhubaneswar, Jul 26: India tested a ballistic missile interceptor on Monday, Jul 26 from a defence base in Wheeler Island in Orissa.
An incoming ballistic missile was fired from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur in Balasore district, about 70 km away from Wheeler Island across the sea.The interceptor missile was launched from Wheeler Island near Dhamra in Bhadrak district.
India tested the new ballistic missile interceptor as a part of attempt to create a shield against incoming enemy missiles.
