Osama bin Laden is hiding in Pakistan: US
Islamabad, Jul 25: American military commander Mike Mullen claimed that Osama bin Laden is hiding at Pakistan's lawless tribal belt near Afghanistan.
Mullen also called the Pakistani tribal belt as "global headquarters" of al-Qaeda and Aiman al-Zawahiri also had taken shelter over there with Laden.
"The Haqqani network is strongly engaged and involved in insurgencies in Afghanistan and there is a need to take a much stronger position against it," said Mullen.
"The Pakistan government has made critical decisions to achieve success in the war against terrorism," said Mullen.
He, however, had appreciated the role played by the Pakistan Army and ISI in capturing terrorists.
Mullen also had clarified that there are "no secret American troops" in Pakistan.
All US troops in the country were there at Pakistan's request for training purposes, claimed Mullen.
